Welcome back Claire!!! I too have missed you, and hoped you would come back. I am glad you're still in the bird club and survived the hurricane!
I was in Texas, when the hurricane hit Houston, but nothing happened in Dallas, although a lot of people from Houston drove to Dallas. It was horrible, about the bus catching on fire, on the Interstate!!!
How many birds do you have now? Refresh my memory, and tell me their names.
BTW, you sound so grown up now....

hey shiela, a bus caught on fire? i didn't hear about that.. Hi Claire, I copied this from the online Dallas Morning News... In 2005, a bus carrying Hurricane Rita evacuees from Houston caught fire just south of Dallas, killing 23 elderly passengers. That bus belonged to a South Texas charter service. It was a very sad, and horrible tragedy...

Some march to the beat of a different drummer. Others cross the white line turning onto your street, unconcerned with oncoming cars and their trivial preoccupation life, defying fate, laughing at danger, sneering at safety, seeking to expand their consciousness beyond the pedestrian constraints imposed by a world skulking under the skirts of safety and never experiencing the edge, the frontier of existence, the thrill of being fully alive, and perhaps saving a fraction of an ounce of gasoline each time. How could one expect less of He-Who-Begat-Claire?
