Has anyone heard of doing this on a routine basis to the solo budgie or cockatiel, or those who are part of a small household number? The only time we ever did this was with our first cockatiel who was a foundling and literally flew into our backyard.

One only needs to do this if the birds are exposed to the bear earth - if they are in a flight pen without a cement bottom.
I dose of Ivermection will get most everything but tape worms.

Thanks, Kerry,
This issue came up yesterday because of a posting our daughter spotted on a horse forum she participates in. Evidentally one of the posters was having a health problem with her English budgie and another poster was adament that ALL birds get routinely wormed. Didn't sound right to me, either. Figured you would know!
Happy Thanksgiving!
