I have "several" cockatiels. 1 breeding pair. this si their second clutch. 3 of 5 hatched. The youngest one seems to have a problem.I ahd left Mom and Dad to feed them. I checked on them yesterday ..I check at least once daily...The smallest one looked almost dead. I tooke her out she was moving but looked like they were not feeding her. so I made up some baby bird formula( Kaytee Exact) I fed her most of yesterday and all of today. Now she looks like her belly is swollen. she doesn't seem to be digesting what I am giving her.Her Crop is still full ...I fed her alst at 7 pm it is now midnight. She seems to be shaking. she is warm...I don't know what I can do for her. If you know of anything I will do anything I can to help her. Robin

UPDATE!! She made it through the night her crop finally emptied and her belly looks a bit better. I fed her just a small amount this morning and I'm checking on her to see if her crop is emptying normally. I'll let you know how she is doing. Robin

Try making your formula more watery (1 part formula to 2.5 parts water) instead of following the directions on the canister. If this does not help immediately, then you need to take her to an avian vet for evaluation. Good luck, birdvet.
