Hi everybody! I am hoping you can help. This is not for me, but for my dad. About 15 months ago dad adopted a pair of white fronted(speckteckled) Amazons. They told him the birds were 2 years old. He recently had them sexed and they are both male. They have always kind of picked at each other, but all of a sudden they have gotten really violent on each other, he called me today and said that they both had wounds on their heads and one of them has a bad toe injury. He said they were actually on the bottom of the cage rolling around!! He has them seperated, but is really desperate to know what might be going on. Could someone please possibly shed some light on this problem?? Thanks

You have already answered your question.
#1 the birds have never really gotten along.
#2 it's breeding season and hormones are raging. The dislike they already have for each other is now majorly amplified.
These birds should NOT be caged together at any time of the year.
