well i'm re-doing my room COMPLETELY and that means painting it.. the cage my birds are in is HUGE [sorry i lost the bookmark to it.. but its basically 6 feet high and 2-3 feet wide.. its big] and i'm not sure where i can move it to. would down the hall with 2 closed doors between the birds and the paint be ok? my dad said that modern paint isnt made with oil anymore so its not as strong, but i really dont want to end up with three dead birds. HELP?

Hi Claire, I think this question was asked a while ago, and from what I remember is to use paint with low V.O.C. [volatile organic compounds] Sherman Williams - Harmany
Just make sure you cover both top & bottom of both doors, yours & where the birds are. Make sure you vent the room being painted with a fan in the window if possible, and make sure that where the fan is blowing out isn't entering a window where the birds are if that one happens to be open. Hope this helps. I'm sure they will be fine. Alice
This room isn't your sisters?? LOL
