;D Sally Lockwood writes a short story in our local newspaper every week, this one was in todays.
I just had to share this one because I just finished baking cookies & a new Cinnamon Cake, but only drank coffee untill now. Whee- hope someone wakes me up for dinner tomorrow? Alice
here is the recipie
Twas the week before Christmas and I have just received a perfect recipe for cookies via my e-mail. I can not think of anything better to ease the stress of “the week before” than to pass this on…enjoy.
Christmas Cookie Recipe…I cup of water- 1 tsp baking soda – 1 cup of sugar – 1 tsp salt – 1 cup brown sugar – lemon juice – 4 large eggs – 1 cup nuts – 2 cups dried fruit – 1 bottle Crown Royal Reserve (most any 100 proof booze will do.)
Sample the Crown to check the quality. Take a large bowl, check the Crown again to be sure it’s of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer…beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one tsp. Sugar…beat again.
At this point it’s best to make sure the Crown is still good, try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixer thingy. Break two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the %#%*& fruit off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewsciver.
Sample the Crown to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt or something. Who giveshz ---. Check the Crown Royal. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of ar..or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the bottle of Rown Croyal. Make sure to put the stove in the washdisher. Cherry Mistmas!!!! If you aren’t howling by this time you need a cup of something!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
