Well the Early Houston Budgie Society show was a lot of fun. Not as many birds there as usually. Most of us still have birds up breeding, a few are really late just getting their birds up and breeding I could only find 4 bird to take and was able to bench one. A 2005 Cinnamon Light Green cock took 8th place. The other 3 were really late 2006 hatched so they still have another full years worth of growing to do. The Houston Club is really thinking about trying to start a bird mart. The church where they held the show was a good size room to start this event. The club placed a very small ad for the show this last weekend with NO contact number or e-mail. They had a LOT of people show up to see what it was all about AND they had 3 new people sign up to be budgie club membes! I had no idea that Houston was the land of many lakes ALL creeks and rivers were out of their banks. The Navasota River took up the better part of Carrol's lower pasture. It was even higher Saturday morning when we pulled out to go to the show hall. I'm glad I'm home, I have to rest up from all that fun!! ;D
