The reason why my mouse is on top of my keyboard is, Tex and Rose tries to nibble on it constantly.... They get mad at me, when I try to use it!

Sheila, what a great job doing the video. Played it twice. Big Tex & Rose are having so much fun taking over on your compter, and playing with their 'pony-tail pieces, that's what I call them anyway' Did you get a cover for the keyboard? Are they going to do your postings while you do the video cam. LOL Alice

Thanks all!
Alice, I took your advice and covered my keyboard w/ Saran wrap. It's cheaper, and does the trick....

Hi Sheila!
The video is great! Those two sure know how to have fun! They were quiet, though. Do they usually not chatter when they're playing?

Tex and Rose are very quiet. I've always heard 'tiels were loud, well these aren't. They do get loud when I leave the room, but overall they're quiet. Now my budgie trio, are constantly chattering, and I love it!!! In fact when I moved the trio to another room, for the 30day quarantine, I missed them. Now all five birds are with me, in my bedroom! I wish Tex and Rose was more talkative, but I still love 'em!

Sheila, You have me worried. All that bird dust from 5 birds is NOT good for you, especially in close quarters as a bedroom. Do you have an air filter in there to keep it at bay? Over years long time bird breeders get what is called in the hobby "bird lung." It is caused by all the bird dander as well as what we breath when cleaning cages. It scars the lungs and eventually it becomes a choice of keeping birds or breathing. It acts a LOT like emphysema. It’s always a sad day when someone with bird lung is getting out of the hobby. Be careful!

OMG!!! I never heard of "bird lung"... I'm wanting to put my birds in another room, but I'm so use to them being in the same room with me. I don't have an air filter in my room, what about vaccuming daily, will that be just as good? You have me worried now... Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Where does everyone else keep their birds?

If I remember this right, Kerry did mention this before. Ours are in a large dining room with a large archway to the living room. I vac. often, and put a cover on trays to take out to the garbage. I also put plexiglass under their cages so I could clean that too every day or two. I wash the trays with vinager in the shower and dry before putting back. Yes, I wash the wash the after, doesn't take long. Also have AC going now and clean weekly, and a Holmes air filter. Alice

Kerry, I want to let you know, I have moved my birds out of my bedroom, into their own room. Since you mentioned "bird lung" it scared me, so I finally moved them out. I miss their sounds, but do put them to bed, at a decent time. I just need to get a baby monitor, so I can hear if they have night frights.
Thank you for educating me.
