Boy, am I being nosey, but besides Birds, we also get to know each other complaining ' It's too hot, or cold, or raining again, or we could use some ' So as you can tell by now, we are a friendly bunch of friends, right guys? She is on Plank Rd on the border of Cheshire and Waterbury she works on Thomaston Ave in Waterbury....As a kid I just about lived at The Nauggy Mall.I am in Queens...probably about an Hour from Danbury. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to get to my Moms. Your not being nosy I think its great to see where everyone is from.
And the best news...My little baby Tiel is doing great. She was just about standing on her own in my hand tonight...Now I need help with a name. She is obviously female and going to be Lutino...any suggestions??

I'm not going to even look it up, Michael Robin -- I lived in Queens many years ago. We lived in Auburndale and then in Beechurst (Whitestone). Are you near either? Glad to hear your bird is coming along!

How about Cleopatra? You have Hercules....
Michael explain your Clytemnestra... I have no clue, as to the meaning, or how to correctly pronounce it...
BTW Robin, Michael is our comedian, philosopher, and educator...
We do love to chat....

I cheated, looking up Greek names in a baby book.
Airlia- of the air, ethereal Aldora- winged gift Alcina-- strong minded Charissa- graceful Pandora- gifted
It's kind of easy to name a bird by their color etc. & you want them to learn to respond to it, but I sure can rename them now that they are older. LOL
Omg, we are close neigbors. I loved the old mall, liked the old stores, like McCorys, I'm a cheap shopper. LOL Wal-Mart took over there along with a lot of new stores. At least K-mart is still across the St. The new 'Brass City Mall' is OK. I know where Plank Rd. & Thomaston Av. are. Colonial plaza is at the beginning of Thom. Av. & that was where the 1st. McDonalds opened yrs. ago in Ct.
Right now, I'm into budgies, 4 girls, no breeding. But if I want a tiel baby, I'll know who call on.

Alice and Robin, this is great news; that you two are practically neighbors... You've got to meet... I wished I lived closer, so I could meet you...

Clytemnestra was the wife of Agamenon. While he was away at the Trojan War, she took up with a boyfriend. When he returned, she plotted for the boyfriend to murder Agamenon. I can't remember if he did, or if she had to do it herself. A capable woman, -lots of character, I suppose. She was provoked, however. When Agamenon was leaving for war the auguries weren't favorable, so he sacrificed (killed) their daughter Iphigenia to appease the gods, and Clytemnestra was apparently miffed.
I like the way Robin was so diplomatic about the suggestion, "a bit too long". Now you couldn't use this name on a cockatiel, but a budgie... maybe.

Hi Robin! Welcome! It's always nice to hear from someone new! Your 'tiels are really adorable. They all look like they're smiling! Thanks for sharing!!
How about Helen (means Light)? Or Hera (goddess)? Or Megara (Herk's first wife) Or Haidee (modesty)
