Just thought I would post and say hello. I have several cockatiels and growing...LOL. I have a breeding pair that are alos pets. Both parents are very friendly birds...I though with breeding they would lose that but They are both still very sweet. They have their second clutch of babies now. I kept one from the first and will probably keep one from this bunch as well. I will post pictures soon of my gang.Looking forward to getting to know all of you. Robin

Hi. The babies are such cute characters. I haven't seen little cockatiels before. The one on the left has a black feather extending from the wing. My son used to call that the nervous feather when we used to have a budgie. I hadn't noticed that in my Cockatiel, perhaps because her coloring is dark. Does that also indicate nervous tension in cockatiels?

Hmmmm I'm going to have to see how he ends up...he is the youngest of the 3 ...the one I am keeping is the one on the right. His name is Hercules. Now I'm curious...he doesn't seem nervous really. He seems fine if any of the 3 is more nervous I would have to say the one in the middle is. Robin

Ohh, such cute babies, and and Mom too. We only have 4 budgie hens that I've posted too many pics. in the past, just like to brag, so you just keep on posting, and take over. Shelia does videos now, and love them.
We're back on line 'Big Brother' is over.
Where are you from, if I not too nosey? Members here are from all over the world. Alice

Your birds are pretty. The babies are adorable! I've never heard of a nervous bird, but I guess there can be. So, when a feather sticks out, they're supposedly nervous? I just thought they had a feather out of place.

It's only that feather, and that was in budgies, I don't know about cockatiels. It doesn't always mean nervous, and he could just have been a little disturbed by something momentarily.

Alice...I see you are from Connecticut...I am originally from CT I live in New York now, but My Mom is still in CT what part are you from?
So far I see no nervouseness in any of them. But then I have handled them all since they were just a few days old.Hercules...The one from the first bunch I am keeping is just the sweetest. They are all sweet but he was special because he was the very first to hatch. And now this new baby that I am feeding...I will just have to keep her...I think I need more rrom for the birds.....Couch...who needs a couch.Couches and sitting is highly over rated anyway.
