I know it's been a long time since I've posted, but I did find an 'Animal Hospital' that would clip flight feathers for $10. each. I just wanted the 3 babies done to tame them. We have one in town that a lot of people are just not happy with them any more, and me! The pet store went out of business that would do it, and all the pet stores aren't allowed to do it any more like Pet-Smart etc. that are closer. I would have done them myself, but I needed help to hold them, and it's been years since I've done it. OK, Kerry, don't laugh! But, We walked in the back door because it was an old farm house and didn't know where the front door was and waiting room was. Kind of confusing, 3 drive-ways and parking places. I was ready to leave, but were met by the nicest people who said it was a common mistake. As we sat in the waiting room I looked at a very large bulletin board of pictures. Dogs-cats-birds-rabbits-etc. and horse's and 'Bessey the cow ' I checked out how clean the office room was and the examing room was before I let them touch my birds, but they were very clean. The vets were very good with them, asking what kind of clip and anything else I wanted done. I said I wanted only a clip so they can still glide to the floor. They said if they still flew when we got home, bring them back and they will clip 1 or 2 more at no charge. All this for $10 a bird and alls fine. Worth the 20-30 min. drive. Alice

Glad to see a post from you Alice!!! I've sent you some e-mails in the past but never got an answer from you.
Glad you found a new vet. That can be such a pain. Sorry to hear that the local pet shop went under. Is it a case of a big chain that moved in?

Kerry, What e-mail address did you send to? I never got any of them to anwser. I will PM you the one I use the most, I thought I already did?
The pet store in town was privately owned, that's where I got my first birds. They were a small store, but very clean, frendly, and went out of their way to help you in any way. Miss them, to buy stuff, and if they didn't have somthing, they would order for me. There is a new vet. animal hospital in town now, but won't clip birds. They were the one who refered us to the one in Watertown that would. Matter of fact their was an artical in the newspaper about them, all good. Soo, I'm happy with them. Alice
